Flowverse AMA: SeekersNFT

Please introduce yourself, your team and your background

I have an MBA from Indiana University and worked for the US government before moving to my current roles. Now, I’m the Founder & CEO of InnovatAR, an emerging tech studio that builds web-based Augmented Reality solutions. Our team is incubated by Agency MABU, a full-service communications company that spun off InnovatAR 4 years ago. I also serve as the COO of MABU and we share employees between the 2 businesses. We have 6 people working on our NFT project, Seekers.‍

Can you give us a high-level overview of your project? What is the vision and mission?

SeekersNFT is built on our existing AR wayfinding platform, Yondar (innovatar.io/yondar) which was built to help people find friends, family, and off the beaten trail locations. Yondar is launched, profitable, and used by thousands. Seekers will be a toggleable layer within Yondar where users are able to find NFTs in the real world and use them in gameplay. Our goal is to use technology to encourage outdoor exploration and meaningful interaction. We call it the Betterverse.

Why did you build on Flow vs. SOL, BSC, ETH etc? And if you could go into more detail of what advantages did you see in Flow that helped you make your decision?

Flow was built for gaming applications like Seekers. It's built with React which is also what Yondar is built on so they integrate very well. Also, the transaction fees are low which will allow seamless NFT integration, trading, transactions, etc. We researched a lot of options, and our developers all agreed Flow was where we needed to be.

Do you have any upcoming NFT drops or token sales and if so, can you tell us about them

Our genesis NFT sale will be the Founder NFT. It will be an ETH mint to capture the traditional NFT audience where they are at. This mint will happen this summer and is limited to 7,537 Founders. These minters will get IRL and in-game benefits including an airdropped Flow NFT, the ability to play as any of the 3 guilds, a free Yondar beacon, a real commemorative coin, their own Discord channel, and much more.

What differentiates your project from other similar projects? Are there any other similar projects including on other chains?

We are one of a kind as far as we are aware. Most who are building the metaverse and PvE or P2E games are developing completely virtual worlds. We are flipping that concept around and using NFTs, AR, and technology to drive outdoor exploration. Think Pokemon Go, but layered with NFTs and built for web3. We also have an existing, real world product that took 3-4 years to develop so we are far ahead of the competition.

Are there plans to collaborate with any third parties (in and beyond the Flow ecosystem) to help grow your community and brand?

We are in discussion with several popular NFT projects about collaboration opportunities.‍

Tell us more about what’s in the pipeline/roadmap ahead

We have a detailed roadmap at seekersnft.io but, essentially, we will have the Founder Mint this summer on ETH, followed by a Flow airdrop and initial gameplay beginning this Fall. ‍
