Introduction
Dimension X is a Free-to-Play strategic role playing game (RPG) on the Flow set in the Dimension X comic book universe.
Players can deploy NFT heroes into battle against villains and monsters to level up, and support factions in a constantly evolving world!
Build your dream team and compete with other players for THUL, the universal token you can use to mint new DMX heroes!
What is Dimension X?
Dimension X NFTs are super-powered heroes fueled by Element X!
Some heroes harness the power of fire or wield psychic energy blades, while others have grown extra insect-like limbs!
The first drop of Dimension X heroes featured 10,000 randomly generated Generation 0 heroes, along with 300 custom heroes.
The cost for a Generation 0 NFT was FREE!

Dimension X’s free mint on the Flow Blockchain played an important role in building the diverse and engaged community they have today, letting players explore the game’s deeper mechanics and become part of something special.

How does the game work?
In Dimension X, heroes are the key to gameplay, users are required to stake their NFT heroes in order to send them on Quests.
Quests are cooperative and competitive battles against enemies. These quests can be either cooperative or competitive and are set on a 3x3 grid.
Each grid has buffs and debuffs that affect how hero damage is calculated over time.
Hero Progression
Heroes gain XP by dealing damage during Quests,earning enough XP levels up heroes to a certain level and significantly increasing base damage.
Users must use their heroes strategically to maximize team damage and position them in buffed areas to enhance their XP gain.
Powers
Each hero comes with 3 random Powers, such as Fire, Ice, Blade, Bug, Magic, Radiation, and Tech.
Here’s what Powers do:
- Increase hero damage by a percentage for each level.
- Improve every 5 levels, boosting the damage bonus.
- Activate different buffs and debuffs on the battle grid.
- Ability to level up through gameplay to earn rewards!
Cosmetics
Heroes in Dimension X have a distinctive visual style made up of:
- Face
- Mask
- Upper Body
- Lower Body
Each hero features a unique combination of these elements. Some cosmetic combinations are rarer than others, making them more sought after!
Hero Types
There are 4 types of heroes in Dimension X:
- Generation 0: Heroes from the initial 10,000 drop at the game’s launch. Each of these heroes comes with 3 powers.
- Minted Heroes: Heroes that can be minted using THUL. They have 2 powers and a BOON slot, which changes each season.
- Sidekicks: Non-NFT heroes that are earned in-game. They have 1 power and can vary in rarity, sometimes featuring additional Perks!
Users can also level up their powers with Power Tokens. Unlocking more sidekicks is crucial for participating in multiple quests at once.
- Unique NFT Heroes: Non-generative heroes that may come from comics, major event rewards, the DMX comic card drop, character creation challenges, or other social events.
These heroes function like other NFT heroes on quests but do not have generative traits. Some of the heroes are limited edition and sometimes the only copy in existence!
Note: Currently, Unique NFT Heroes can only be acquired through the secondary market.
In-Game Currencies
THUL
THUL is the in-game currency for Dimension X, they are used to mint new heroes, it can only be earned by skillfully playing the game and placing them on Quest leaderboards.
The higher you rank, the more THUL you receive, with smaller amounts awarded to lower ranks.
Power Tokens
Power Tokens are also in-game currencies for each hero power type.
They are used to upgrade a hero’s powers and are earned through Quest bracket rewards and Faction rank-ups.
Factions
DimensionX launched the game with 4 factions:
- Ex Presidents
- Bugs
- League of Tyrants
- Might Mounties
Each Quest is associated with a faction.
Players earn Faction Reputation by participating in Quests, and bonus reputation is awarded based on leaderboard placement.
