What is CryptoKitties: Arcade?

CryptoKitties: Arcade! is the latest play-to-earn platform from Emerald City DAO, the creators of the no-code NFT platform FLOAT and the DAO and token creation tool Toucans.

As part of their educational program, Emerald Academy, their goal is to teach developers and aspiring web3 coders everything they need to know about building on Flow. 

With the Crescendo upgrade expected to be launched, they deployed CryptoKitties: Arcade to help crypto enthusiasts and developers learn the basics of Cadence 1.0 through a gamified, mission type leveling-up experience.

Technology

CryptoKitties: Arcade! was built on Flow and leverages the CryptoKitties IP, a project where users collect and breed digital cats. CryptoKitties is also the world's first-ever ERC-721 token.

Dapper Labs, the team that created Flow were also the team that created CryptoKitties in Solidity.

CryptoKitties: Arcade! was inspired by another gamified coding platform, CryptoZombies, which is a fun and interactive way to learn Solidity.

Step 2: Connect your preferred wallet

Step 3: Input the name for your Kitty, Later on with the lesson you can give your Kitty the ability to attack other Kitties!

Step 4: Complete the lessons up until level 16: which is the basics of Flow Client Library or FCL

Currently, Emerald Academy only has the Beginner to Intermediate course to help get you up to speed with the basics of Cadence.

Soon, Emerald Academy aims to launch an Intermediate to Advanced course as well.
